Британская панк группа Blitzkrieg была собрана в 1979 году в Саутпорте. Видоизменяясь составом группа просуществовала около пяти лет, успев выпустить две семерки, в 1984 году команда распалась. Blitzkrieg имели чёткую антирассисткую позицию и довольно агрессивно поднимали тему защиты животных, выступая против вивисекции. Обе плсатинки группы имели неплохой успех и попадали в Indie Charts, так дебютник "Lest We Forget" поднялся до 11 строки (1982) а "Animals in Lipstick" в 1983 поднялся до 30.
В 1987 группа вновь собирается, с новым вокалистом, но реюнион длиться совсем недолго. В 1990 Blitzkrieg снова выходят на сцену и едут в тур вместе с Discharge, а через год выпускают свой первый полноформатный альбом "The Future Must Be Ours". Отыграв до середины 90-х группа в очередной раз уходит в неизвестность и распадается. Последующий реюнион состоялся спустя более 10 лет в 2007 году, а в 2008 музыканты порадовали своих поклонников новым релизом - вторым полным альбомом "Everything Is Lies".
