Peter And The Test Tube Babies

Как минимум благодаря только одному треку "Banned from the Pubs", этих парней знают и чтят далеко за пределами их родной Британии. Peter And The Test Tube Babies начали свой творческий путь в 1978 году в Брайтоне, а если быть точнее в небольшом городишке Peacehaven. Дебютный сингл "Banned from the Pubs" увидел свет в 1982 году и позволил группе довольно громко заявить о себе, открыв дорогу в хит парады. Не удивительно что дебютный лонгплей "Pissed and Proud" в этом же году поднялся до второй строки UK Indie Chart. Оригинальный состав команды выглядел следующим образом: вокалист Peter Bywaters, гитарист Derek 'Del' Greening, басист Chris 'Trapper ' Marchant  и барабанщик Mark Storr-Hoggins (Ogs). Парни настолько были дружны что данный состав не подвергался видоизменениям на протяжении довольно длительного времени, более 15 лет.  Второй альбом команды "Mating Sounds of South American Frogs" (1983), также как и дебютник был восторженно встречен как публикой, так и критиками, отметившись в этом-же UK Indie Chart на 4 строчке.

Из-за несерьезной лирики группу быстро причислили к так называемому Punk pathetique, поджанру панк рока, на ряду с Toy Dolls и Splodgenessabounds. Популярность коллектива имела довольно хорошие масштабы, Piter и компания были довольно частыми гостями хит парадов UK Indie Top 20. Во второй половине 80-х, как и большинство их коллег, музыканты впали в довольно затяжное молчание, но в начале 90-х снова всплыли на поверхность и продолжили творчество с прежним энтузиазмом. После выпуска в 1996 году очередного альбома "Supermodels" команду покидают Trapper и Ogs, и им на замену приходят басист Rum и барабанщик A.D, которых в конце 90-х  заменят Paul 'H' Henrickson и Dave O'Brien. Группа до сих пор твердо стоит на своих ногах, не зависимо от содержания промилле в крови участников, изредка радуют поклонников новыми релизами и не устают давать яркие и энергичные шоу в различных уголках земного шара.
