В 1977 году местные панки Питерборо собрали группу Destructors. Вдоволь пошумев до 1979, они распались, чтобы вновь вернуться на сцену в 1980-м. На этот раз заряда и энтузиазма хватило на более длительный период времени, до 1984. Но и тут в истории банды не была поставлена точка, так как спустя 22 года в 2006 они вновь вернулись на сцену, но уже как Destructors 666. Впрочем, в 2009 году приставка 666 была благополучно выброшена из названия. Вернемся в 77-ой: группу собрал Allen Adams, взявший на себя обязанности вокалиста. Оставшийся состав участников не отличался особой стабильностью. В общей сложности в период 1977-1984 в группе переиграло: семь гитаристов, четыре басиста, два вокалиста и шесть барабанщиков. Постоянным участником всегда оставался лишь сам Alan Adams, какое-то время совмещающий еще и обязанности бас-гитариста. Группа была довольно плодовитой и за период 82-84 выпустила целую кучу релизов: различных demo, live записей, EP и альбомов. Как уже говорилось прежде, спустя 22 года Alan реанимировал группу прибавив к названию "666", но спустя пару лет цифры были благополучно откинуты и банда вновь носила название The Destructors.
