Poison Girls

Poison Girls появились в 1976 году в Брайтоне, но довольно скоро перебазировались  в графство Эссекс поближе   к своим друзьям и соратникам  Crass. Группа являлась главным рупором феминизма, частью движения за ядерное разоружение и постоянным участником благотворительных концертов, а сами музыканты ярыми анархистами и сквотерами. Главным участников Poison Girls являлась уже немолодая женщина, мать двоих детей Vi Subversa она же Frances Sokolov Sansom. Её детишек мы уже вспоминали в темах про Fatal Microbes и Rubella Ballet. Poison Girls просуществовали до 1987 года успев выпустить четыре полноценных альбома, концертник и восемь синглов. За это время постоянными участниками коллектива оставались сама Vi Subversa и гитарист Richard Famous. Музыка Poison Girls плохо вписывалась в рамки традиционного панка, но бунтарский настрой и темы поднимаемые в песнях, твердо укрепили значимость группы на анархо-панк сцене Великобритании. Vi и компания имели свой лейбл X-N-Trix, студию звукозаписи, выпускали журнал Impossible Dream и даже принимали участие в постановках мюзиклов. В 1995 году Poison Girls воссоединились для праздничного концерта в честь 60-летия своей вокалистки. Vi Subversa умерла в феврале 2016 года.
